BY MTN Radio Awards

TO VOTE FOR BAYFM SEND THE WORD 'BAY' TO 40616.

Listeners have a definite say with regard to one of the categories in the MTN Radio Awards - the My Station Award category. The category is divided into two awards:

  • My Station Votes – which goes to the station that generates the most votes
  • My Station Most Loyal Listeners – which goes to the station which generates the most votes as a ratio against their RAMS audience numbers

“This category has proved extremely popular with stations and listeners alike and generated almost 400 000 votes in 2013” says Lance Rothschild, MTN Radio Awards CEO. “It ran exceptionally well last year with the awards going to Umhlobo Wenene FM and Radio Pretoria respectively.”
“The opinions of the listener are extremely important to us at MTN and we feel that this category provides the listeners with the opportunity to cast a vote in the MTN Radio Awards” says Brian Gouldie, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN. “We’re really looking forward to seeing who will win this category this year.”
Station participation in the My Station Award is voluntary and listeners are requested to vote by sending in the station’s code via SMS to 40616. In addition, the winner will win two tickets to the MTN Radio Awards gala dinner and a smartphone with R500 airtime. Each SMS costs R 1.00 and (Terms and Conditions Apply).
